Learn how to enable 2FA for your workspace and account

Activate two-factor authentication on your iDealsBoard account

Before you learn how to activate 2FA for your account, read What is 2FA and how does it work?

Check whether 2FA is enabled

To find out whether two-factor authentication is enabled on your account, select your profile picture in the lower-left corner.

If your account is not currently 2FA-protected, you'll see the following:

Enable 2FA on your account

  1. Download an authenticator application, such as Google Authenticator. You can get this from the Apple AppStore (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).

We recommend Google Authenticator but alternatives are available.

2. Log in to iDealsBoard and select a workspace.

3. Select your profile picture at the bottom of the menu sidebar.

4. Select Protect then select Enable 2FA.

5. The Secure your account page is displayed, containing a QR code and a box to enter your one-time code.

6. Open the authentication app you downloaded in step 1 and select Scan QR code.

7. Scan the QR code on the Secure your account page and get your unique one-time code.

8. Enter your one-time code and select Continue.

2FA is now enabled for your account. The next time you log in to iDeals Board, you will be prompted to enter the code from the authentication app.

When you first sign up for 2FA, you will be given a recovery code, which will allow you to recover your account if you lose access. Keep this recovery code safe and don't share with anyone. If you lose your recovery codes, we will not be able to restore your access to the system.
