Open the Documents section and select the folder whose permissions you need to customize. Click the three-dot sign at the end of the line and select the View details and access option:
If you are an administrator, or you are the owner of a file or folder and, the window that opens will show you all the groups and users available to you in this workspace:
You will always notice that your groups will always come first, in alphabetical order, followed by active users in the Guest and Administrator roles, also in alphabetical order
The access rights you can grant in this window are divided into:
Access rights to view the file or folder
Access rights to download the file or folder (only to those who have previously been granted viewing rights)
Click on the arrow next to the group you are interested in to get a list of users belonging to that group and to fine-tune access rights
If you have granted permissions to a folder or file for an entire group, all users in that group will receive those permissions. You can also set up access for all users at once by clicking the box next to All groups and guests
Please pay attention that by granting any access to an entire folder, you will grant the same access to the selected group or user for the entire contents of that folder
If you deactivate a user, he or she will automatically lose access to previously available files and folders. Similarly for a group, all its users will lose their accesses when the group is archived
If you have granted permissions on a folder to groups or individual users, all other folders or files created within that folder will have the same permissions as the original folder
Click the Save button in the top corner of the screen to have your settings applied:
In the window that opens, you can choose whether you want to not notify users about changes in permissions (Don't notify) or send them a notification about new permissions received (Notify)
