The quorum refers to a qualified majority, indicating that a sufficient number of people with voting rights have made a decision. Quorum in the iDeals Board can be set to one of the following types:

  • Simple Majority: 50% + 1

  • Super Majority: 67%

  • Custom: A custom number specified by your organization

Quorum settings will be applied to all upcoming meetings. These settings will not affect any of your previous meetings.

By default, the Simple Majority mode (50% + 1) will be applied to all upcoming meetings, as it is the most commonly used case.

Set Quorum preferences

Follow these simple steps to set your quorum preferences adopted by your organization:

Open the Directory section.

Learn more about the Directory section

Go to the Groups list

Select the Group you are interested in

Click on the button with three dots and select Quorum preferences.

In the pop-up that opens, select your preferred quorum type:

Click Save button.

In case the number of members in the group is changed, Quorum will be auto-calculated for new number of members and applied for the meetings hence created.

All meetings you create will now be applied to the quorum preferences of your choice.
