The Board composition report helps workspace admins and secretaries understand the makeup of users across groups — including who’s active, how long they’ve been involved, and other key demographics.

You’ll find this report under Reports > Board composition.

Filtering the report

To tailor the report to your needs, use the filters at the top of the page:

  • Group – Choose one or all groups. Secretaries will only see groups they manage.

  • Fields – Filter by fields:

    • General info

    • Groups

    • Etc.

As soon as you change a filter, the report updates to reflect your selection.

Select report view

In the top right corner, users can select the view for the report.

Users can select between:

  • Table view

  • Chart view

Click the toggle to select the view required.

Table view

The standard view of the report is a table.

General info

Under general info you'll find the following information in the report:

  • User name – Hover to see their gender and age

  • Status – Active, Pending, or Deactivated

  • Tenure – Shown in years and months (e.g. 2y 3m)

  • Tenure start and Tenure end – Check their start date and end dates

  • Age – Based on the date of birth entered

  • Date of birth – The date of birth entered

  • Gender – Based on profile selections

Charts only show categories that apply to your filtered users. If there’s no data, the chart will reflect that.

Groups

For every group a user belongs to, their role is shown as:

  • ✅ Member

Deactivated users are shown in grey for clarity.

The report can scroll vertically and horizontally. Track pads also work on this report. Just scroll as you would normally with a document.

Chart view

In the chart view, users will see the selected data visualised as a variety of tables. This breaks the data down into representations for easy interpretation.

Exporting the report

Click the Export button to download the report as an .xlsx file.

Your export includes:

  • General info with user-level details

  • Group roles showing which users are in which groups

The exported file uses your current filters, and includes the workspace name, group (if filtered), and today’s date in the file name.

If no users match your filters, you’ll see an empty report.
