Keeping your board data safe is our top priority. Ideals Board uses enterprise-grade security measures, including secure data storage, strong encryption, and identity verification, to protect your information. On this page, you’ll find details about how we secure your data, how two-factor authentication works, and what to do if you run into login issues.

Data security

Your data is safe and is stored in highly-secure AWS data centers, compliant with SOC 1/ISAE 3402, SOC 2, SOC 3, FISMA, DIACAP, and FedRAMP, PCI DSS Level 1, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and ISO 27018.

Encryption

Your files in the AWS data centers are encrypted with AES 256-bit.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication can be applied to your workspace to strengthen access security by requiring an additional means of verifying your identity. As well as the usual user name or email and password, you might also use an authentication app on your phone to provide an additional validation code.

Troubleshooting 2FA issues

Depending on the app you use, you may get a two-factor authentication (2FA) code, or a one-time password (OTP) when you attempt to log in.

If your code or password doesn’t work:

  • Check that you're using the correct authentication app

  • Check that the code you're using was issued to log into the iDeals Board application

  • Check that the code has not expired

If your 2FA code or OTP has expired, your app will issue you a new one. New codes are generated every 30 seconds.

Recovery codes

If you have two-factor authentication enabled, but you’ve lost access to the device you used to log in, use your recovery code. This was issued to you when you activated two-factor authentication.

If you’ve lost your 2FA recovery code, email support@idealsboard.com to reset your account.

You won’t lose any data when you reset your account, but you will have to set up your access rights again.

To turn off two-factor authentication on your account or workspace, email support@idealsboard.com.
